Abstrakt: The explosion protection for electrical equipment designed for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres among other requirements consist of limiting the energy in a circuit. This objective is achieved by the type of explosion protection intrinsic safety, symbolized "i". This type of protection is suitable also for mobile and portable electrical equipment which are supplied from autonomous sources. From point of view of the acceptability of using these types of components in potentially explosive atmospheres, it is underlined that those should be tested in compliance with specific technical standard. In the introduction is presented the general and specific context of the article demarche. The next two parts is allocated for the underlining the aspects on test procedure and test rig. Pictures included show the rig configuration and its components. In the part entitled results and discussions is presented graphical time dependence of parameters measured temperature at the middle galvanic cell, current which flows into galvanic cell, voltage across the galvanic cell and ambient temperature. Also in this part is presented the mathematical relations used for inner electrical resistance and stored energy for the tested galvanic cell. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
