Abstrakt: The article discusses international human rights law in relation to hate speech in Japan as of 2018, and it mentions the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) and the internalization of international law. Japan's Act on the Promotion of Efforts to Eliminate Unfair Discriminatory Speech and Behavior Against Persons Originating from Outside Japan is assessed, along with an attack at the Korean School in Kyoto, Japan in 2009.
