The processes of deepening of national consciousness as a content basis for the formation of a national idea demonstrate the level of development of social consciousness, including the growth of the role of historical-philosophical and historical knowledge, thinking and consciousness. At the same time, it is extremely important to consider that the reflection of time as an important aspect of socio–cultural processes demonstrates a significant difference between historical consciousness as a factor of national unification as a determining factor in the last moral and ethical values, which is emphasized in the article. In particular, it is argued that the historiosophical ideas of Gregory Skovoroda, the Cyril-Methodius, the experience of rethinking historical consciousness under totalitarianism, represented by examples of artistic creativity, show that only as a homogeneous integral in the measure of moral values a synthesized historical consciousness realizes its nationally solidarity orientation: in quality the necessary factor of fortification to the future is established morally rooted historical memory and self- consciousness as an excuse for passionate impulses l dyny to its future human dream of desired future, demonstrating therefore zakriplenist unity of human existence and society. The article also actualises the tasks of further searches and deepening of the content of existential measures of historical consciousness as a core of activation of nationally aggregating processes. After all, in the morally developed atmosphere of the life of the person of «internal freedom», organically corresponding national uniting tendencies are rooted in the values of the morally and ethically represented historical identity as first and foremost by the manifestation of the position of a free man on the path from the spiritually mastered past through the humanistly intrusive creativity of our time to our future.
