Abstrakt: The article presents a case study of 1 month 8-day old African American girl baby presented to the emergency department for acute onset right-upper-extremity swelling and decreased movement. It mentions that physical examination showed rash, nasal congestion, and rhinorrhea; weakness and poor movement of the right arm; and edema. The patient's rapid plasma reagin (RPR) serum was reactive with a positive titer at 1:512, reveling congenital syphilis.
