Abstrakt: Numerical simulation of tubes extrusion processes has become an important tool to improve these processes. In this work, the cold extrusion tubes from a low carbon steel C15 was simulated by FEM with the commercial software DEFORM-2D. The objective of this study is to predict the distribution of the equivalent plastic strain, of the contact pressure and of the temperature on the work surfaces of the punch and on the extrusion die. The tubes extrusion process was also simulated using the commercial software FORGE® 3D and here are present the flow-line pattern which are symmetrical and clearly dependent of the geometry.
