New DC Power Flow Formulation Considering The Primary Frequency Regulation.

Abstrakt: The main objective of this paper is to present a new methodology for solving the linearized power flow problem. The proposed formulation consists of including the equations representing the steady-state response of the primary frequency regulation in the problem. Thus, the imbalances between load and generation are distributed among the generators as function of the droop and the reference power of each machine. The proposed methodology is validated through the study of three systems, two are small-scale and one medium-scale test system. The first system is a 6-bus tutorial system, the second one is a 11-bus system with two well-defined areas and the third one is the 39-bus New-England power system IEEE benchmark. The results presented validate and indicate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
