The article presents a China-centric commentary on several articles which examined the important role played by woods in warfare in Korea and the world. The article by John Lee examines the link between the military revolution and the expansion of state forestry systems. David Fedman's article tackled the Japanese colonial regime's campaign to encourage Koreans to practice a low temperature lifestyle. It is noted that the articles clarified issues related to East Asian environmental history. |
