Medicinal plant played an important role in controlling oxidation causes by free radicals and thus served as remedy for oxidative damages. Moringa oleifera is a plant with a high biotechnological potential due to the presence of high content of proteins, carbohydrates and secondary metabolites in the different parts of this plant. Some of their secondary compounds have been advocated for traditional medicinal uses. This study was aimed to determine the bioactive and antioxidant potential, estimate total phenolic content and total flavonoid content from stem extract of Moringa oleifera. The results showed that the methanolic extracts of M. oliefera stem had higher phytochemical content and potent antioxidant activity thatsupport the use of this plant for therapeutic purpose.
