Abstrakt: A buffalo was presented with swelling at the left ventro-lateral aspect of neck along with salivation, anorexia and absence of defecation. The case was diagnosed as oesophageal diverticulum from history, symptoms and radiographic examination. Under local infiltration and sedation, oesophagotomy was undertaken. The accumulated feed materials were removed and cleaned. The oesophagotomy wound was closed as per routine manner. Post-operatively, fluid therapy along with parenteral antibiotics, analgesics and multivitamins were advocated. After three days, animal was allowed for liquid diet and then solid. The animal recovered uneventfully. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
