ABSTRACT: The range of titanium dioxide (TiO2) samples, modified by β‐cyclodextrin containing copolymers was synthesized. The copolymers obtained were investigated by different methods, such as ultraviolet‐, Fourier transform infrared‐spectroscopy, thermal mass spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, transmission electron microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. The modification of TiO2 is shown to promote a significant positive impact on the process of methyl orange absorption and photodegradation on its surface. The modified TiO2‐photocatalysts prepared in such way could be promising objects for water purification from organic pollutants. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. Sci. 2018, 135, 46373.
