Flower-like ZnO was synthesized via low temperature hydrothermal synthesis taking CTAB as the additives. The effect of CTAB on crystal structure and optical properties of ZnO nanopowders was investigated. The photocatalytic activity of the ZnO nanopowders toward the decomposition of methyl orange was also investigated. Results show that the ZnO nanosheets were obtained without CTAB, and the products were transformed into the flower-like ZnO nanostructure with appropriate amount CTAB. The flower-like ZnO has good photocatalytic activity for MO solution. And the degradation rate is as high as 93% when the photocatalytic reaction time is 120 min. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
