Examines the interrelationships of natriuretic peptides and collagen and markers in patients receiving thrombolytic treatment for their first acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Evaluation of collagen formation following AMI; Decrease of the levels of intact amino terminal propeptide of type I procollagen; Increase of degradation of type I collagen after AMI; Regulation of collagen by B-type natriuretic peptide. |
