Abstrakt:	The article discusses the health care providers who specialize in the performing arts population are unfortunately few and that some national organizations attempt to fill in the knowledge gaps for medical professionals. Also discussed are the Performing Arts Medicine Association (PAMA) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) who are the interfaces between the medical and performing arts communities wherein practitioners may expand their knowledge base.
