Abstrakt:	The article analyzes the film "Apocalypse Now," directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Particular focus is given to the ending of the film which deemed controversial by some commentators. The author examines the textual interrelations of the film with Joseph Conrad's novel "Heart of Darkness" and the process of rewriting that generated the epilogue of the film to determine the alleged weakness of its ending.
