The article presents the history of the Biblical Archaeology Society. Archaeologist Hershel Shank reportedly started the Biblical Archeologist Review in 1974. He developed the idea for contributing a column on Biblical archaeology to a magazine in the U.S. Hershel reportedly changed his archaeology column concept into an archaeological newsletter, and then into an archaeology magazine before starting his writing work. |
