Abstrakt: The article discusses a study that compares participants' retention in three phases of smoking cessation interventions, with one provided in a health clinic and the subsequent two in community-based settings. Information on the methods used and results of the study is provided. It concludes that the use of trained peer motivators rather than health-care providers resulted in significantly higher retention and smoking cessation rates.
