| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses a study that examined the feasibility of detecting selected oxysterols in blood plasma of breast cancer patients. The researchers also determined whether tumor removal causes detectable perturbations in oxysterol levels, which could be used for estimating the disease risk or monitoring of its recurrence. The results indicate that 7-ketocholesterol levels increase after tumor removal. |
