Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study conducted to analyze the impact of hippocampal extracellular matrix alterations on cognitive impairment associated with a chronic depressive-like state. The study found that increased expression of synaptic chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans in the dorsal hippocampus was displayed by social defeat-induced persistent stress (SDPS) animals.
