Abstrakt: The article discusses a study which examined the impact of childhood maltreatment (CM) on the efficacy of cognitive behavioral analysis system of psychotherapy (CBASP) in unmedicated adult outpatients with early-onset persistent depressive disorder (PDD). Topics covered include the effectiveness of CBASP compared with supportive psychotherapy (SP), and the effect of emotional abuse on the efficacy of treatment, and the rates and the pattern of CM in patients with early-onset PDD.
