Abstrakt: Liposarcoma commonly occurs in the lower limbs and retroperitonium. Primary liposarcomas in the mediastinum are very rare, with a reported incidence of less than 1% of all mediastinal tumors. Pleomorphic liposarcoma is the least frequent but most malignant histological subtype of liposarcoma. We report a rare case of mediastinal pleomorphic liposarcoma in an adult patient, involving the diaphragm, pericardium, anterior chest wall, and compressing heart and both lungs which was successfully managed by complete wide surgical excision and postoperative chemotherapy.
