| Abstrakt: |
The article talks about the U.S. Supreme Court's seminal decisions to extend some of the procedural protections of criminal court into juvenile courts. It discusses cases including "Kent v. United States" in which the court which required basic due process protections for youth waived to the adult system.; lack of procedural protections for children in juvenile courts; and the U.S. Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act which established core protections for youth in custody. |
