The article discusses a study, conducted at the University of Iowa, which examined the effectiveness of student-centered learning compared to typical, lecture-based instruction. Topic covered include results which showed that those in the student-centered section achieved significantly higher scores, and indications that engaging in classroom-based problem solving under expert guidance is effective. |
