Abstrakt: | A biography of Max von Laue, a noted physicist from Germany, who discovered the X-ray diffraction by crystals, is presented. Laue was born on October 9, 1879, in Koblenz, Germany. He studied at the University of Munich for some time, after which he went to the University of Berlin, where he worked under theoretical physicist Max Planck. Laue received the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1914. He died in a car accident in Berlin, Germany, on April 24, 1960. |
