Abstrakt: We had an 89-year-old patient with chronic disseminated intravascular coagulation who showed persistent post-extraction bleeding and poor wound healing. A blood screening test revealed low plasma level of Factor XIII, which induces hemostasis with stabilization of fibrin and wound healing. The replacement of Factor XIII successfully produced hemostasis and wound healing in this case. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
