The distance between the delivery room and neonatal intensive care unit had no impact on the respiratory management of preterm infants at birth.

Abstrakt:	The article reports on a study which examines the potential impact of the distance between the delivery room and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) on the respiratory management of preterm infants. An overview of the study, which was conducted at the Padua University Hospital in Italy, is given. The study suggests that the distance to the NICU does not influence the delivery room respiratory management of extremely low birthweight infants.
