The article discusses research which investigated the influential role of surgery interest groups (SIG) in the surgical career of medical students. Topics explored include the need to address the declining interest of medical students in surgical residency programs in Canada, the events hosted by SIG members in Canadian medical schools, and the mentorship that SIG extended to concerned students. |
