Abstrakt: The article presents research discussing impact of beef production technology on consumer preference. Topics include use of ionophores, antimicrobials and beta-agonists in beef production; study funded by the Minnesota Beef Council for evaluating meat quality and identifying consumer palatability and label preferences; and use of optimal antibiotic during illness for improving animal health.
