The article focuses on the vision of artists Lori Nix and Kathleen Gerber of the future that reflect the miniature, intricate and apocalyptic. It offers a look into Nix's blurring of the line between the real and the fabricated as depicted in dioramas with end-of-days themes, as well as her sculptural sophistication. It describes the artists' dystopian vision in the series "The City," which depicts interior spaces against a post-apocalyptic backdrop. |
