Abstrakt: The Kungurian salt domes are widely pervasive in the Pre-Caspian depression, so that the post-salt Upper Paleozoic and Mesozoic deposits disturbed considerably by salt tectonics. Salt structures formed mainly in the upper Permian time, at the end of which salt massifs broke this thick stratum and they were intensively dislocated. In the Mesozoic period, there was a moderate redistribution of salt, which resulted in uplift of Triassic to Cretaceous deposits on the top of salt bodies. Salt movements affect the postsalt section covering Kungurian salt bodies. Most of post-salt highs above salt stock or walls are faulted. It causes to form different trap types such as faulted anticline traps, turtle back structures, overhang structures, four-way dipping structures, etc. Other potential of stratigraphic traps anticipated in the area are pinch-out type, unconformityrelated type, etc. The modern seismic technology improves the ability to map the structure of post-salt sequences in depressions between salt domes, resulting in new types of structures such as subtle anticline in depressions against slopes of salt domes. These structures recognized mainly in Upper Permian rocks. Formation of traps related to the halokinesis of non-uniform withdrawal of salt into adjacent domes during emplacement.
