The Galleria of Giacomo Oddi (1598-1675) was one of the most important and representative collections of natural curiosities, antiquities and works of art in seventeenth-century Europe. It embodied the refined artistic taste of an Italian nobleman, whose interests ranged from exotic animals to the art of Raphael. Here, presented for the first time, is the entire inventory and a number of documents concerning its dispersal which, thanks to their detailed nature, help to shed new light on the history of Italian art collecting.
