Odontomas are heterogeneous group of jaw bone lesions, classified as odontogenic tumors which usually include well diversified dental tissues. They are usually clinically asymptomatic, but often associated with tooth eruption disturbances. In exceptional cases they may erupt in the mouth. 2 types of odontomas are described: compound and complex. This is a case report of a 12-year-old girl with unerupted maxillary right central and lateral incisor, impacted due to compound odontoma and supernumerary tooth. Surgical excision of the odontoma and orthodontic intervention for the correction of midline diastema, regaining space and allowing the eruption of the central and lateral incisor in alignment is discussed in this paper. The present paper aims at describing the importance of early diagnosis and timely intervention which allows adoption of less complex and less expensive treatment and ensures better prognosis.
