This article analyzes that the information culture as a component of the information society is formed in the context of civilization cultural genesis and represents a highest level of its development. The aim of the scientific study – the conceptualisation of digital culture because of culture development of information society had formed during the last decades of modern civilization and transformed into a new type of information culture. The informaciological and synergistic methods allowed for following evolution from information culture to the digital culture. Conclusions – carried out the reflection on the discourse about the digital culture, the results revealed that informaciological and synergetic approaches leads to information and communication as the unity of the world civilizational paradigm. The concept of «digital culture» is clarified and its main characterological features are revealed. It is analyzed that the information society is a type of society in with the most important resources are production and consumption, and information recognized as the most important resource. New information and telecommunication technologies are the basic technologies, and the information environment, along with social and environmental, is a new human environment. It is proved that ability to work with information for receiving, processing and transfer information in the context of use the computer information technology is the information culture. Digital culture is the result of the development of an information society, represented as the values of digital technologization, which do not contradict the common humanistic values. Conclusion – digital culture means the digital competence of a specialist, the possession of the technologies of orientation in digital reality, and the ability to productive communication in a virtual space.
