Agriculture fully depends on natural condition.s Loss of crops due to natural calamities, accidents and other reasons always make farmers to worry. They feel themselves helpless because of being fully dependent on nature. Strategy of crops insurance to reduce risk factors in agricultural field may prove to be very effective. The main purpose of this study was to know if 'crop insurance' is a good initiative of govt. or how much awareness is there in farmers about crop insurance. The study was conducted in two districts of Haryana, i.e. Palwal and Fareedawad. Studies show that most of the farmers were not aware about Prime Minister crop insurance scheme. There is need to immerese awareness of farmers' on different components of these scheme. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
