The solar air heaters can be used for providing hot air for various applications and can be a great step towards elimination of the energy crisis. In this paper, the use of different types of solar air heaters is thoroughly studied and their applications are analyzed. The air heating through the flat-plate collectors, evacuated tube collectors and parabolic trough collectors is studied. The air heaters are classified and studied on the basis of methods to transfer the heat from the collector to the fluid. The use of the direct fluid flow, heat pipes, tubes with fins and absorber plates is discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
