The article highlights the patterns and the specific of socio-political and socio-economic processes in Ukraine in the years of independence. Determinism of confrontation between presidential and parliamentary branches of authority, specifics of oligarchization social and economic life, interdependence of political, civil and political processes in Ukraine been analyzed. The main regularities determined peculiar properties of formation and characteristic features of social and economic structure in contemporary Ukraine are examined analyzes the features of social, regional and national processes in postSoviet countries of East European space. It determined the factors and patterns which have conditioned differences in their development, highlighted the key features and distinctive features which inherent to these countries in the socio-political and socio-economic life.
