Abstrakt: This educational design, based on a research developed in the field of Physical Education, is aimed at increasing the responsibility within the student body by involving them in the assessment process, with the objective of improving their academic perception. This research study arises from the need of promoting and consolidating efficient changes in the field of educational practice, to improve students' level of performance. With the idea of breaking with traditional models focused on individualism and competitiveness, students are given a high degree of prominence, to make them feel involved in the education and learning process. A case study with a critical thinking outline is presented, involving Secondary Education students from a grant-aided school. The study focuses on the academic perception of the self-concept of the student body. The practical prominence of Physical Education as a subject encourages the development of group dynamics and furthers an ongoing and cooperative learning and traineeship process, being proposed as a proper educational method. This process, along with gymnastics disciplines and the performance of choreographies, require a responsible involvement of students. This design is focused on working with responsibility involving the students on the evaluation process through rubrics and clear objectives. The hypothesis formulated states that aiming for a common objective and working together as a group result in a more solid education and students become more motivated and engaged.
