Abstrakt:	A biography of Spanish poet Francisca Aguirre is presented. Aguirre was born on October 27, 1930 in Alicante, Spain, however her family fled the country for France after the outbreak of Spanish Civil War in 1936. Her first major Spanish poetry collection "Ithaca" was translated in English and published in the U.S. in 2004. Aguirre's other works include "La otra música", "Ensayo general", and "The Other Music."
