| Abstrakt: |
This paper discusses the evaluation of the accident rate of an industrial facility equipped with a single-channel protective system subjected to aging. This issue is very important for plant life extension. We discuss possible models for solving the problem and present an initial solution based on a Monte Carlo method. The model was validated by comparing channels with exponential failure time results with published results. It is concluded that the Monte Carlo approach gives reasonable results for typical plant demand rates for at least 5,000 trials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
