the number of wind power plants (WPP) connected to weak grid locations, i.e. low short circuit power, are increasing due to the constant drop in the wind generation cost, bigger size of the plants and the location of some remote windy areas. This paper describes and shows, in a practical and meaningful way, a real example of a WPP connected to a grid with very low short circuit ratio. In addition, it is shown how the WPP was set, commissioned and operated, together with a general description of the problems related to the integration of wind power into a grid with very low short circuit power level.
