Abstrakt: Presents a study that focuses on how the adenoviral E1A gene could alter expression of growth factors by human bronchial epithelial (HBE) cells. Upregulation of connective tissue growth factor and transforming growth factor-β1 mRNA, and protein expression; Comparison of E1A-negative and E1A-positive HBE cells; Expression of cytokeratin; Mesenchymal markers vimentin and α-smooth muscle actin.
