Effort is underway to increase supply of the important radioisotopes Sr-82 and Ac-225 from the Brookhaven Linac Isotope Producer by increasing the beam intensity. In order to maintain target reliability a raster scanning system has been installed to provide a better distribution of the proton beam on the targets, allow higher beam intensities to be used, and ultimately increase production yield of the isotopes.
