We modify the Massey rating method so as to rate and rank the players in the Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour based on their individual performance. We then compare the accuracy of the Massey rankings with the accuracy of the Official FedExCup standings in predicting if a player will make the cut. We also employmean absolute error (MAE) tomeasure the size of the error in both theMassey ranking and the FedExCup ranking compared to the official ranking results of each tournament.
