Influence of Vikings' epoch on development of countries of Western Europe is shown in article. Meaning of family and friendship among Vikings is shown in article. Main aspects for marriage among Vikings are given in this paper. Criteria according to which parents chose groom or bride for their children are analyzed in this paper. Information about upbringing of children in conditions of that time is given. Rights of native and non-native children are compared. Procedure of adoption is shown in this article.
