Reports on the purification of rat liver nuclear protein kinases NI and NII to homogeneity by an improved method including a casein-phosvitin-Sepharose column step, which separates the enzymes from the other chromosomal non-histone proteins. Phosphorylation of chromosomal non-histone proteins with partly different specificities; Degradation of enzymes into discrete polypeptides when incubated in the absence of protease inhibitors. |
