Abstrakt: A crossbred calf was presented with history of severe lacrimation from both eyes. Clinical examination revealed traumatic wound on right eye due to constant irritation and calf rubbing its eye on hard surface creating traumatic wound on right eye. Gradually there was invasion of maggots which brought damage into the whole globe with loss of vision. Under general anaesthesia and retrobulbar nerve block, extirpation of right eye and superficial lamella keratectomy of left eye for removal of dermoids were conducted. Post-operatively antibiotics and analgesics were administered along with instillation of topical eye drops. Sutures on eyelids were removed on 10'" post-operative day from both eyes and healing was uneventful. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
