This research had two purposes. First, it aimed to examine the relationships between Big Five personality, attitudes toward critical media - receiving, family models and the influence of peers affecting critical social-media receiving behavior. Second, this research attempted to predict critical social-media receiving behavior through these factor. The subjects were comprised of three hundred and sixty freshman student in Srinakharinwirot University by Quota Sampling population from eighteen faculties. Questionnaires were used as means of data collection. Then the data were analyzed by Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis through the Enter method. The results of the findings were as follows: 1) Neuroticism had negative correlation with social-media receiving behavior with a statistical significance of .01 level. 2) Extraversion had no relationship with social-media receiving behavior. 3) Openness, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, attitudes toward critical media - receiving, family models and the influence of peers had positive correlation with socialmedia receiving behavior with a statistical significance of .01 level. 4) Factors such as a big five personality, attitude toward critical media–receiving, family models and influence of peer could predict critical social-media receiving behavior that could be predictable at fifty six percent with a statistical significance of .001 level and the findings revealed that the four most important variables consisted of attitude toward critical media–receiving (β = .59, p < .001) Conscientiousness (β = .18, p < .001) Influence of peer (β = .12, p < .01) and Neuroticism (β= - .10, p< .05) respectively.
