Abstrakt: | The paper analyzes the concept of «humanitarian culture» of personality in the context of education. The author examines main approaches to definition of the nature of humanitarian culture of personality and reveals its correlation with the concept of culture. One of the main conclusions: humanitarian culture is an axiological basis of culture in general. Humanitarian culture is part of the spiritual culture of the society, which performs the function of storage and transfer of spiritual experience of humanity. The leading feature of the humanitarian culture of personality is its humanistic principle as a motive of relation to reality. Humanitarian culture by means of education is aimed at changing the mind. Education must be assessed from the standpoint of creating appropriate conditions for the formation of personality with developed humanitarian culture. This process is actually performed throughout life. An essential component of humanitarian culture is intelligence as the basis of knowledge and understanding. The author sees as the main purpose of education in the task of forming a humanitarian culture of personality as a condition for social progress and creative thinking. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
