The article focuses on the U.S. Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 standard, Revenue from Contracts with Customers, which could take effect as early as December 2017. Topics include the standard, once effective stated to will eliminate many existing revenue standards and the ASC 606 revenue standard including extensive disclosure requirements to enable users of financial statements to understand the amount, timing, risks and judgments related to cash flows. |
