This article presents clinical examination results of a case of allergy to colophony in a farmer in France. The patient was presented with an acute eczema with severe pruritis of the face, back of hands and forearms, the inside of thighs, popliteal region, calves and the skin of the scrotum. It is reported that clinical examinations were in favour of contact dermatitis and especially Frullania dermatitis. After standard patch tests, the patient was found positive to most colophony resin. A test with pine resin was also found positive. |
