Abstrakt:	A literary criticism is offered on the Middle English poem "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" and English poet Geoffrey of Vinsauf's treatise "Poetria Nova" and prose poem "Documentum de Arte Versificandi." Particular focus is given to the use of the Latin work inculcatio, including its use for praise and blame, in the aforementioned works.
